Like many other activities held during the COVID-19 pandemic, legal conferences made the switch to entirely virtual affairs for much of 2020. Still, as organizations begin to wrap their minds around the prospect of a vaccine, some are contemplating a 2021 event calendar that takes into account the possibility that attorneys, technologists and others inside of the legal profession will be able to gather face-to-face again soon.

The International Legal Technology Association, for example, is proceeding under the expectation that its 2021 ILTACON conference will be held live and in-person in Las Vegas this coming August. “Our team is supposed to be in Vegas in February to begin planning. Our planning started a little later than usual because the hotel was closed. But they are ready. We’re expecting it to be smaller and we’ll have a hybrid component,” said Joy Heath Rush, CEO of ILTA.
