5 booked for attacking man, family over parking vehicle at petrol pump

Five persons were booked after they attacked a man and his family over issue of parking vehicle near petrol pump at Pushpa Nagar late in the night on Monday; accused molested two women during the dispute.

Policemen were rushed to petrol pump in Pushpa Nagar at 80 ft road and intervened to rescue family members of victim who were hit by the accused and women of victim’s family were molested.

SHO Aishbagh Ajay Nayar said that Imran who owns the petrol pump and one of the five accused Zainab were arrested after the incident which occurred in the night. The victim who came to attend a marriage event after refiling petrol asked to park it but employees opposed after which he parked vehicle few meters away from petrol pump and went to attend function and when he returned tyres were found flattened and on asking with the employees they started to misbehave.

Later, the owner and victim had a verbal spate which soon turned physical and victim and his family were beaten while wife and sister were molested, he added. The police have registered a case under sections 294, 323, 506 and 354 of the IPC and started investigation.

After the victim was attacked and women molested family members of victim at the wedding gathered at the petrol pump and to control situation heavy police force was deployed. Police have booked five accused in the case and two have been arrested while three are still at large.
