Arlington Offering Free Parking To Encourage Shopping Local
The town will enact free parking at municipal lots on Saturdays during the holiday season.
ARLINGTON, MA — The town will enact free parking at all metered spots in the two municipal lots in Arlington Center on Saturdays during the holiday shopping season. The offer is available only in municipal lots on Nov. 28 and Dec. 7, 14 and 21. All street meters will be in effect as usual.
The measure is part of the town's effort to encourage residents to support local businesses. Residents are encouraged to shop Arlington first on Small Business Saturday Nov. 28 or whenever possible.
