Indiana coach Tom Allen didn’t hold back in his postgame speech to the Hoosiers’ locker room.

Ohio State squeaked out a 42-35 win over Indiana despite 497 passing yards and five touchdowns from quarterback Michael Penix Jr.

After the loss, Allen addressed his team with an emotional speech in the locker room:

The video is worth watching if only to see the complete command of the locker room that Allen holds.

Several times, Allen highlighted that he was proud of the team for not quitting. Ohio State was up by three touchdowns at one point in the second half, but Indiana battled back to have a chance in the final minute.

“We don’t feel sorry for ourselves,” Allen said. “We didn’t play our best football. You know it and I know. But you didn’t quit! You didn’t quit! You fought them! You got character! You got somethin’ to you!

“We didn’t come here to be close. And I’m ticked off by the result. But I’m proud of you guys. You fought, you fought and you fought!”

Allen’s quad is 4-1 on the season and could still have Indiana in a good position to reach a NY6 bowl at the end of the year.
