Four Sabah deaths including man with mental disorder
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah recorded 499 new Covid-19 cases and four deaths including a man with mental disorder on Tuesday, said the Ministry of Health.

Three men and one woman aged between 25 and 80 died at Queen Elizabeth Hospital I (QEH, two deaths) and at Tawau and Sandakan hospitals.

One of the QEH deaths, a 25-year-old non-citizen, had schizophrenia and obesity.

Clusters were back as Sabah's main daily case driver, which was previously close contacts.

Sabah’s new cases consisted of 292 cases in clusters including 112 in two new ones called Avenue and Kejora, 117 close contacts and 90 other screening cases.

The Avenue cluster in Penampang had 106 new cases, 110 total cases and 136 negative results out of 246 people screened.

The Kejora cluster in Kota Kinabalu had six new cases, nine total cases, 62 negative results and 71 individuals screened.

Sabah's two top clusters today involved correctional facilities, namely Sandakan Prison with 122 new cases and Kepayan Prison, which had 16 and whose Enhanced Movement Control Order ended yesterday.

Three Sabah clusters were closed: Bangau-Bangau in Semporna and Tawau which had 432 cases and four deaths; Buang Sayang in Sipitang, Pitas, Putatan, Kuala Lumpur and Negeri Sembilan with 17 cases and Kau Sing in Tawau with 16 cases.
