Go Fund Me campaign set up in memory of John Hays
A Go Fund Me campaign, set up in memory of John Hays, has raised over £4,000 in the first two hours of going live.
Organisers set up the fundraiser after being ‘overwhelmed with messages and condolences’ after John’s death yesterday, with many well-wishers asking if they could donate to charity or send flowers.
Organiser John Milburn said: "If anyone would like to make a donation in his memory, Irene would be grateful for a £5 donation (no more) to be made to the Hays Travel Foundation, which was one of John’s proudest achievements."
The Hays Travel Foundation was set up in 2015 and has donated almost £1 million to good causes so far.
