Two subjects were in the process of selling an item utilizing the video surveilled, internet purchase and exchange “Meetup Spot” located in front of the Police Department. Suspect Louis R. Clark, Jr. was charged with Armed Robbery (Class X Felony)

Suspect Jordan W. Brown was charged with Armed Robbery (Class X Felony)

Both subjects, Clark and Brown, will be transported to the Cook County Courthouse, 26th and California, Chicago for a bond hearing.

“Although the primary goal for the designated police department merchandise exchange spot is to prevent such crimes from ever occurring, the utilization of this location allowed for the quick apprehension of the suspects. We encourage our residents to continue using this location for online merchandise exchanges”, said Chief Bill Wolf.
