Kota Kinabalu: Malaysia’s biggest Covid-19 prison cluster Kepayan Prison recorded its first death on Sunday, data from the Ministry of Health showed.
The Ministry did not say whether the fatality involved a Prisons employee, inmate or close contact in the cluster which now has 1,821 total cases, 635 of whom are still active.

Data showed 1,186 patients had been discharged in the cluster spanning over Kota Kinabalu, Papar, Penampang and Sipitang.
The Kepayan Prison complex and its staff quarters at Taman Mat Salleh in Kampung Matambai is currently under the Enhanced Movement Control Order until Nov 16 where entry and exit of people are banned.
