So much to do in Sipitang, says PCS candidate
Kota Kinabalu: With a background of geology, quantity surveying as well as oil and gas, Parti Cinta Sabah (PCS) candidate for Sindumin, Jaybee Buayie @ Ezwan Abdullah (pic), hopes to put his expertise into developing Sipitang. The N.35 Sindumin candidate painted a picture of what the future of Sipitang would look be like.

According to Jaybee, Sipitang is a district that is uniquely located and because of that the sea and land are both flourishing with opportunities for development.  He said if a new Oil and Gas Ministry is established, it would open the door to countless of job opportunities for Sabahans and Sipitang is favourable for this.  “The fertile land could also be a kick-starter for many agriculture projects managed by the locals and their produce will be those of that exported out, expanding the market as we know it,” he said.

Jaybee hopes Sipitang will grow as a district and advance especially in terms of economy, employment and development.  He believes that the infrastructure of the entire district should be revised as attention should be placed towards the rural areas that do not have access to basic necessities such as proper roads, water and electricity.  It has become an issue for the people living in rural areas such as Long Pasia, Long Mio, Iburu, Meligan and Ulu Bole that the only accessible roads are the gravel roads filled with holes and unwanted bumps making it unfit for public use and can be queried regarding to its safety. “Connectivity is also an issue that should be discussed. For as of today, the new norm requires our youngsters to have proper access to internet in order for classes to be conducted.” he said in a statement, here, Thursday.
