Tech Data subsidiary DLT Solutions on Wednesday announced its first-time award of a U.S. Army Information Technology Enterprise Solutions-Software 2 (ITES-SW2) contract.

The ITES-SW2 is a 10-year multi-award contract. It provides VARs, distributors and solutions aggregators such as DLT Solutions the ability to sell software, maintenance, incidental services and hardware across 14 product categories. Sales recipients include all agencies within the U.S. Army and any other Department of Defense (DoD) or federal civilian agency authorized to procure solutions through this contract vehicle. It is a follow-on to the ITES-SW contract and allows the U.S. Army uninterrupted access to important information technology (IT) solutions that are vital to its mission.

“This contract vehicle represents a great opportunity for DLT and Tech Data channel partners,” said Chris Wilkinson, president of DLT Solutions. “The contract has a $13 billion ceiling and is to serve as the preferred and primary source to support the Army’s enterprise IT infrastructure and infostructure goals through August 2030.”

DLT has more than 70 in-house contract vehicles that channel partners can leverage to get IT solutions to their government and education customers.

Tech Data has a U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) schedule contract and provides channel partners access to the products they have listed on that contract. Additionally, Tech Data and DLT claim to provide robust support to partners who bid on the contract themselves. They also say they support the overwhelming majority of awardees on this contract.

DLT’s award currently includes AppDynamics, Appian, Archibus, Autodesk, Automation Anywhere, Blackboard, Checkmarx, Cloudbees, Cloudera, Crowdstrike, D2iQ, Data Robot, Data Walk, Infor, Inquisient, LogRhythm, McAfee, Netscout, One Identity, Parasoft, Quest, Red Hat, Sonatype, Sysdig, Tripwire, Uptake and Xebia Labs. Additional vendors can be added over the life of the contract

Army Modernization Strategy

Government demand for product and services is high.

“The U.S. Army has an IT modernization strategy (Army Modernization Strategy) in place that will transform the entire U.S. Army into a multidomain force by 2035 to meet its enduring responsibility as part of the Joint Force and retain its position as the most dominant land power across the globe,” said Wilkinson.

The U.S. Army Computer Hardware Enterprise Software and Solution (CHESS) office makes the ITES-SW2 award. This is in coordination with the Army Contracting Command-Rock Island (ACC-RI).
