NEW DELHI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday hit the grounds in Bihar campaigning for the three-phase elections which begin next Wednesday. The Congress leader is scheduled to address two rallies at Hisua in Nawada and Kahalgaon in Bhagalpur district. Here are the highlights:
Rahul Gandhi addresses rally at Hisua, Nawada - China's soldiers are in Indian territory. Then why did PM Modi give a contradictory statement? Today he says he bows his heads for martyrs. When is China leaving India?
- Last election he said he will employment to 2 crore Indian youths. Did anyone get it?
- He says he bows to farmers, soldiers, migrant labourers, small businessmen but when he leaves he meets Ambanis, Adanis.
- Did you benefit from demonetisation? You were made to stand in queues. Your money went into the pockets of rich. You were looted of your money and their debts were forgiven.
- When we were in power, we settled debts of 60 lakh farmers.
- Narendra Modi is making the way for the Ambanis and Adanis. In coming years, you will be robbed of your land and your income.
- They made these three new farm laws which they had earlier introduced in Bihar and now they will do the same in the whole country. Lakhs of people will be left unemployed.
- You walked miles but the government did not arrange trains, buses for you.
- This time Bihar will submit their answer to Narendra Modi and Nitish Kumar. They will get the right answer this time.
Tejashwi Yadav, the chief ministerial face of Bihar's grand alliance, against the NDA government, which includes the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress and Left parties, also joined Rahul Gandhi at Hisua rally.
Yadav addressing the rally promised 10 lakh government jobs to the Bihar youth, if elected. "PM is most welcomed in Bihar but he should've given answers about special status to Bihar, absence of factories, unemployment & other state issues," said the RJD leader.
