With his signature suits, family connections to the art world and clean-cut visage, there's no denying that newlywed royal Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi is a stylish man with good taste. It's no surprise then that he has found himself as the subject of How To Spend It 's The Aesthete column, sharing some of his favourite things, including his most cherished gift, the one thing he could never part with, and a recent discovery that may surprise you.

He's got a signature look
There's a reason you always see Mr Mapelli Mozzi in a blue suit - it's his go-to look. As he explains, 'I buy both ready-to-wear and bespoke from different companies, but most recently from the new Hackett store at 14 Savile Row. I wear them with a white grandad collar shirt [from Officine Générale] and CQP trainers from Stockholm, which I own in multiple colours.'

He reads up on parenting in his spare time
As a father to four-year-old Wolfie, it's unsurprising that Mapelli Mozzi is interesting in reading about parenting in his spare time. It's really sweet that he includes Esther Wojcicki's How to Raise Successful People as his favourite read from the last few years, explaining that she herself had three wildly successful daughters: 'one is the CEO of YouTube, the other is the co-founder and CEO of 23andMe, and the third is a top anthropologist and epidemiologist'.

He shares a hidden gem from the Amalfi Coast as his recent 'find'
It's the ultimate seal of approval when an Italian recommends an Italian restaurant. And like all great hidden gems, Mapelli Mozzi's Ristorante Da Adolfo at Laurito Beach on the Amalfi Coast is remote and ramshackle, only accessible via boat and impossible to get a booking at. If you are successful, however, 'The wine comes to the table with peaches in it and the plates are handpainted in a classic Amalfi style.' Sounds heavenly.

He's commissioned his stepfather to make a sculpture for Beatrice
In answer to, 'The best gift I've ever given,' Mapelli Mozzi explains that he once asked his stepfather, the sculptor David Williams-Ellis, to make something for his wife Bea's birthday. Painting a rather idyllic picture, he explains, 'His studio is next to my mother’s house so we’d see him in there every day covered in clay. It’s so special for us to have a piece of his work in our home.'

He's a wine connoisseur
The self-confessed oenophile's interest in wine begun as a baby, interestingly, after his godfathers gave him the rather generous christening present of four cases of wine. When he was older, he traded the cases, and hasn't stopped since. 'From those four cases I am now sitting on a very interesting collection, predominantly Bordeaux (although I tend to drink Burgundy). But the joy for me is about understanding the vineyards and the process,' he explains.
