Princess Eugenie's second wedding dress designer shares unseen photo to mark second anniversary

Zac Posen wished Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank a happy second wedding anniversary on Instagram, using a never before seen photograph of the couple

Yesterday marked a very special day for Royal sweethearts Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank, as they celebrated their second wedding anniversary.

The couple were wed in a star-studded ceremony at St George's Chapel in Windsor on 12 October 2018, the same venue chosen by Eugenie's cousin, Prince Harry, for his wedding in May of the same year. Among the guests were Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Robbie Williams, whose daughter Teddy was one of the flower girls, alongside Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Eugenie wore a stunning Peter Pilotto gown for the occasion, with an open back to proudly show of her scoliosis scars. As is tradition, she also wore a tiara, borrowing the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik tiara from her grandmother the Queen. Later in the day, she changed into a blush-pink dress by Zac Posen, who shared his well wishes to the happy couple on Instagram yesterday with an unseen photograph from the day.

In the image, the couple can be seen posing for another photo in a grand reception room at Windsor Lodge, where their after-party was held. The side angle allows Posen to capture the elegant train and draping of the dress, which was reportedly inspired by Grace Kelly.

The American designer captioned the picture: 'Happiest 2nd Anniversary dear Princess Eugenie & Jack! It was so special creating this gown for this wonderful moment in your life, being with you and the family on the magnificent magical day, I will remember forever. Wishing you both continued love and happiness always with your new baby angel on the way 🕊'

He also shared some of the embroidery of the back and shoulders of the gown on his Instagram stories, captioning it 'white rose of York'.

The couple's second wedding anniversary comes a few weeks after announcing that they are expecting their first child in 2021. Earlier this summer, Eugenie's elder sister Princess Beatrice tied the knot with Edoardo Mappeli Mozzi, at Royal Chapel of All Saints, Royal Lodge, Windsor. She borrowed a Norman Hartnell dress and the Queen Mary Fringe Tiara from the Queen for her bridal look.
