Attempted aggravated robbery: Brookpark Road
An unidentified male suspect, positioning his hand in his pocket to suggest that he held a handgun, tried to rob Shell, 13030 Brookpark, at about 11 p.m. Sept. 25.
The suspect asked a worker in the gas station to give him all the money in the cash register. The worker refused. The suspect then left the gas station and drove away in a gold vehicle.
The suspect was described as Black, about 6 feet 3 inches tall and 215 pounds. He was wearing a red jacket, a green shirt, khaki shorts and white tennis shoes.

Receiving stolen vehicle, possession of narcotics, damaging property: Snow Road
A Cleveland Heights man, 32, and a Cleveland man, 26, were arrested at about 10:30 p.m. Sept. 8 after a stolen car they were driving sped past and damaged the front gate at Airport Fast Park, 18899 Snow.
Police eventually found the car, a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox, but it’s not clear where. The car was parked, and one of the men was passed out in the driver’s seat. Police found suspected illegal drugs and drug abuse instruments in the car.
Theft: Snow Road
A Phoenix man, 22, was arrested at about 7:30 p.m. Sept. 26 after he stole eight T-shirts and two pair of pants from Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland, 14690 Snow.
The man left the store with an armful of clothes without paying. The man’s image was captured on the store’s security video. He arrived and left the store on a scooter.
Police spotted the man in the parking lot of Chenga World skatepark, which is next door to Goodwill, with his scooter. He told police he was homeless and needed clothes.
Trespassing: Sylvia Drive
A Sylvia man called police at about 2:40 p.m. Sept. 26 and said that an unidentified male suspect had entered and rummaged through his unlocked vehicle while it was parked in his driveway. The man saw it happen on security video.
Police later identified the suspect as a 17-year-old boy, who had also rummaged through a vehicle on Smith Road that same day. The boy will face charges in Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court.
Sudden illness: Brookpark Road
A 29-year-old man overdosed on heroin at about 3:15 p.m. Sept. 20 at America’s Best Value Inn, 14043 Brookpark.
A woman called police about the man. He had stopped breathing and she was performing CPR in the hotel parking lot. He regained consciousness after paramedics administered several doses of Narcan, a heroin-overdose antidote.
The man was wanted in Fairview Park. He admitted to using heroin. He was taken to Southwest General Health Center in Middleburg Heights.
Sudden illness: North Gallatin Boulevard
A 20-year-old man overdosed on an unidentified drug at about 10:30 a.m. Sept. 23 inside a house on North Gallatin.
When police arrived, the man was lying on the bathroom floor. His brother was administering chest compressions as directed by the emergency dispatcher.
Police and paramedics gave the man several doses of Narcan, a heroin-overdose antidote, and the man woke up. He was taken to Southwest General Health Center in Middleburg Heights.
Sudden illness: Holland Road
A woman, 49, overdosed on an unknown substance at about 9:30 p.m. Sept. 23 in a basement on Holland.
When police arrived, the woman was lying on the floor. Her husband and the owner of the home were trying to revive her by dumping buckets of ice water on her.
Paramedics administered Narcan, a heroin-overdose antidote, and the woman woke up. Her husband said she sometimes smokes crack cocaine, but hadn’t done so recently. The woman denied taking any drugs, and no drugs or drug paraphernalia were found in the house.
She was taken to Southwest General Health Center in Middleburg Heights.
Sudden illness: Holland Road
A 26-year-old man was taken to Southwest General Health Center in Middleburg Heights at about 12:30 a.m. Sept. 28 after a suspected drug overdose in a house on Holland.
The man’s girlfriend called police and said the man was unconscious on the basement floor. He was unconscious and not breathing. She said the man has a history of drug overdoses.
When police arrived, the man was conscious and standing. He said he was OK and didn’t need to go to the hospital. His girlfriend said she had given the man Narcan, a heroin-overdose antidote, before police arrived.
Body found: East Park Circle
A 77-year-old man was found dead in his apartment at about 3:15 p.m. Sept. 23 on East Park. Police believe the man had died about a week before he was found. They believe he died of natural cause and didn’t suspect foul play.
