On Tuesday, Bungie revealed more details on Europa, Destiny 2’s newest destination, coming with Destiny 2: Beyond Light on Nov. 10.
Destiny 2’s new Europa destination detailed in latest trailer
The moon of Jupiter is about the same size as Luna

The new trailer features voice over from Variks, a fan-favorite NPC from the original Destiny. Players get a good glimpse of Europa’s many environments, and a look at Variks’ face, who hasn’t ever appeared in Destiny 2.
In the trailer, we see some pyramid architecture all around Europa, suggesting the Darkness’ presence on the planet is already strong once we arrive. We also see enemies using a variety of new attacks, including the same Stasis powers Guardians will acquire. There are also new enemy variants, like a divebombing Vex and a giant, Fallen mech.
The studio describes Europa as a “desolate wasteland” filled with mysteries under the ice. In the trailer, we see frozen tundra, but also fully-functional factories from the Golden Age — a far cry from Destiny’s typical, dilapidated-yet-modern structures. The Bungie website also mentions a “dark obelisk” that beckons players beneath the ice.
Bungie also updated its website with the Europa map, and a description of each zone.
Europa has five different zones:
The Eventide Ruins house a frozen-over colony from the Golden Age, which once belonged to the Clovis Bray corporation.
The Asterion Abyss houses a giant Vex construct that extends into and below the ice.
The Cadmus Ridge is all snow, but houses the Bray Exoscience facility underneath — this seems the most likely location for the Deep-Stone Crypt raid coming this fall.
Charon’s Crossing is an old communication center, and where players will presumably start their journey in Beyond Light.
Beyond is a vast ice clearing where players will encounter the Exo Stranger and a giant pyramid-shaped ship.
Bungie will launch Destiny 2: Beyond Light for Google Stadia, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One on Nov. 10. The next-gen versions will come later this year.
