Just in time for the football season, the new Velocity Wings Express has officially opened its doors in Ashburn. The new carry out and delivery only restaurant has taken over a small space at the front of its sister restaurant, Social House Kitchen & Tap, in the Goose Creek Village shopping center.
Both Velocity Wings and Social House are part of the same parent company, as is the new Locals Tacos & Tequila that just opened in Sterling.
Velocity Wings Express has a similar menu to the full-service Velocity Wings locations. Wings in various flavors are the mainstay, but there are appetizers, salads, sandwiches and more. See the full menu below.
The wings are way overpriced, and average at best. If you’re gonna overpay (the Ashburn way) Buffalo Wing Factory is much better honestly. Competition is great, and will hopefully bring prices down, but I feel like Velocity is going into this a little optimistic, and with undeserved hype.
