Attempted ATM break-in at Bank of America drive-thru on Algonquin Road near Golf Road in Arlington Heights.

Police from Arlington Heights responded about 4:05 a.m. Tuesday August 25, 2020 to a report of an attempted theft and break-in of a drive-thru ATM machine at Bank of America, 850 West Algonquin Road in Arlington Heights.

Three male suspects with thin builds and wearing masks attempted to break in to an ATM machine in the drive-thru ATM at the back of the building.

One suspect was wearing red shoes, and one suspect may have a small cut or laceration.

The suspects arrived and fled in a red 2002 Dodge pickup.




The same suspects attempted to break in to an ATM at a Bank of America at 55 West Lake Cook Road in Buffalo Grove at 7:15 a.m. The suspects were described arriving and fleeing in a red Ford F-150 pickup. Initially it is unknown whether there were two separate vehicles used by the suspects or whether the vehicle was mistakenly identified at one of the locations.

Upcoming news in Arlington Heights, but not released yet … approximately 10 vehicles burglarized in an area north of Central Road and south of Our Lady of the Wayside Church … also two stolen vehicles overnight Monday to Tuesday — August 24-25, 2020.
