CenterLine SoftMount gun offered in two configurations

CenterLine (Windsor) Ltd. has launched the SoftMount gun with two configurations to meet diverse customer needs. It is designed to fine-adjust its position mechanically to a stamped hole for consistent projection welding of a fastener. The unit is suitable for robot applications in which part dimensions, hole locations, and tooling are slightly inconsistent.

The two configurations are Standard Feed Process for nut and stud welding applications and Inverted Feed Process for nut welding and special applications. The gun includes a compliance mount assembly that is set far enough from the weld plane to not introduce variation to the welding process.
