The London School of Economics has published an independent report assessing the user experience of the HMCTS video hearings service:

The evaluation examines party-to-party hearings and party-to-state hearings in civil, family and tax jurisdictions. The evaluation includes observations of hearings, interviews with users and key stakeholders, and analyses of administrative data and documents. It explores the user and judicial experience of video hearings and contains recommendations about best practice for the video hearings process.
