Portland Protesters Burn Bibles, American Flags in the Streets

Protesters flocked to the Justice Center and the federal courthouse in Portland again on Friday night, lighting fires and burning American flags and Bibles in the streets.
According to the Portland Police, which did not engage with demonstrators, the crowd lit several fires, including a large bonfire in the middle of the street in front of the federal courthouse. One video shows protesters feeding a small fire with Bibles, which were engulfed in flames:
I don’t know what burning the Bible has to do with protesting against police brutality.
Do not be under the illusion that these protests and riots are anything but an attempt to dismantle all of Western Civilization and upend centuries of tradition and freedom of religion.

Portland Police did not engage with the demonstrators but did respond to a nearby shooting, where over 150 rounds were shot. One round struck a woman, per the Portland Police Bureau:
One round struck an adult female victim in an arm. Responding officers applied a tourniquet and she was transported to the hospital by ambulance with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries. No other injuries have been reported to police, however bullets struck at least 8 occupied apartments and 7 vehicles (unknown if occupied).
According to journalist Andy Ngo, who has firsthand experience with Anftia rioters, there has been “a large uptick in shootings & homicides in Portland since @tedwheeler abolished the Gun Violence Reduction Team”:

I hate to have to say this. In my opinion much of the church slept and kept telling themselves the Lord said it was going to be this way. He did. He also said “Occupy until I come.” I don’t think he meant a pew.
Various memes were put forth many decades ago due to Rockefeller et al. infiltration in seminaries and the body of Christ. Christians weren’t supposed to dirty themselves with such professions as politics and law. If they don’t, who will? The Left planned this brilliantly.

God’s Word tells us He has trained our hands for WAR. When will be wake up and stand for what He trained us for?! He is on our side, WE are the strong ones, but far too many don’t seem to understand that. Studying His Torah, makes it more and more clear every time I study the portion for that week. WE are the strong ones because He said so! But far too many choose to stay silent and sit on their hands. Just like the children of Israel did, as they wandered and complained for 40 years, when IF they had done as they were directed, the journey would have taken 11 days! Yahweh showed them His power when He got them out of Egypt, but they were never satisfied. HE is provision for the journey of our life!

Don’t misunderstand. I love the Jewish people, for they are God’s chosen. But don’t ignore the fact that it is a Jew, George Soros who is the main one paying for the violence against America and the citizens. Then there are those like Henry Kissinger and others whose names I can’t remember thanks to old age. When there are such powerful Jews behind those coming against us, just who do we turn to give us help? For we are all going to need it badly in time. Except for those of us who are patriots – We the People, we have not one man to turn to. For us there is only the Lord who gives a darn about us. I’m sorry that you choose to see me making the mistake of possibly “painting all” by the few but that your choice. I thought I made my feeling clear.
When I received Christ at 12/13 HE put the love in my heart for the Jews, that I still have after around 70 years. In no way did I or would I insinuate that “all” Jews were the same, anymore than all Americans are the same. That’s ridiculous.
I’m sorry but I prefer not to correspond with someone who tries to continually make me look bad for some unknown reason. I would like to leave this world as I have lived it, with the respect of others even if that doesn’t include you.
You may be a Messianic Jew but it seems you have little regard for a goy that has lived for Him almost their whole life. You’re sure not like the other Messianic Jews I’ve correspond with who have a much more understanding and loving heart.

Thank you for that, Dorothy. You clarified it quite well. I do have a question, though; have you learned to love the Torah that Messiah Yeshua/Jesus loved and taught? Just wondering, because so many think that Torah was just for the Jews, yet they claim to love the Jewish Messiah who LIVED & TAUGHT Torah. The entire Bible is a Jewish Book, but without studying Torah (first 5 books), one can’t possibly understand the rest of the Bible 😉 I’m 78 and am a Messianic Jew. My fellowship goes completely thru Torah every year and each time we do a deep dive into it, we always mine new gems. We never stop learning! What a blessing Yahweh gave thru Moshe and Yeshua to us!

Oh my! How can a real Christian not love the Torah? It was given from one and the same God. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. That’s like those Christians that don’t love the Jews. To me they are just so-called Christians. To not love the people that God loved! You have stated that wonderfully Dorrie! Without the Old there would be no New Testament. : )
I know what you mean about new gems. So many times when I am reading verses that I’ve read many times before, I find new meaning. And it’s an encouragement to stay in the Bible as we should. We can learn right up to our death and still there’s so much we haven’t yet learned. I like to think that when we go to our Lord that all that knowledge will be given us. We are so fortunate to have God’s Word. How much He loves all of His creation.

Am I correct? It’s the Torah, the Prophets, and the Writings? All of which I have read many times.

Not yet the Great Tribulation as the peace treaty between Israel and the Arabs haven’t yet been signed (to our knowledge). Then there will be less than three and a half years for the final Temple built by the hands of man, to be built. So there is a timeline…

Uh no. Go back and study Daniel and Revelation. The 3rd temple will be built BEFORE the Tribulation. And at the 3 1/2 year mark, the Antichrist will be revealed and he will sit on the throne in the temple and declare himself the messiah. THAT is when the “Great Tribulation” will begin and not many will survive it.

We are each individuals. We are not carbon copies of one another. Does that not allow for others to see things differently than you? You are entitled to see the book of Daniel as you do. You’ve made me well aware that you believe what you think to be the only possible correct assumption. Just because I don’t have your Jewish insight doesn’t mean I must be wrong, or does it?
I will stick with what the Holy Spirit has taught me, although He may teach me more as I have need of it. Yes the final Antichrist is revealed at the 3 1/2 year mark (but the Antichrist has then been the world leader for those 3 1/2 years) as is clear (in the New Testament) when he reveals himself as the Jewish Messiah and stands in the Holy Place, the Temple. Matthew chapter 24. Called the abomination of desolation. I know Daniel 11:31 refers to the final Antichrist.
By the way, since you are now a Messianic Jew, have you read and obeyed John 3:1-12? …

Yes dear, around 70 years ago.. But for me it was easy as it happened when I received the Lord. Like His putting His love in my heart for His chosen people, He put the Holy Spirit within me at that time. I believe it’s possible that everyone who surrenders their life to the Savior is given the Holy Spirit to dwell within them but I think (maybe) for the Holy Spirit to be active in our live we must ask the Lord in prayer. But honestly I’m not sure because it all came to me at the same time. I’ve even obeyed Mark 16:15-17, but the Lord hasn’t made it possible for me to obey vs 18 as yet. But I was lucky there too for He sent me to a church where the pastor was filled with the Holly Spirit and he listened to the Lord. Remind me later and I’ll tell you what happened but now I am too tired to think straight. : )

Dorrie, I’m sure if I had been born a Jew, I would follow the Torah, the Jewish laws and traditions just as you do and should, even though you are Messanic. But I was born a goy, a Gentile. I was raised in a Gentile home to follow and live by the New Testament. The commandment I follow (to the best of my ability) has always been the words given me by Christ Jesus, either by the New Testament or by the Holy Ghost and yes that does include some of the Old Testament. But when you start preaching to me about eating as the Jews were commanded to, shows that you don’t know the Words of Jesus very well. He, Jesus, made it clear by saying: in 1 Timothy 4:4-6 in the King James Bible. Google it for I don’t feel you keep the New Testament on hand but live by the Torah only – still.
When you became a Messianic (you hadn’t said when!) you did not give up your Jewish heritage but you added to it by accepting Christ Jesus as you Messiah. Well when I became a born again Christian I did not depart from being a goy, a Gentile, and all at once convert to Jewish tradition.
I really don’t understand your reasoning on this subject or why you would think I should change and live by Jewish tradition. Jesus’ Word is clear to me on the subject.
I am starting to question just how much a Messianic Jew you really are for you seem to put Christ (Yeshua) second to Jewish traditions made by man, and you don’t appear to know what Jesus taught in the New Testament.
I thought I understood your going back and forth with me. That happens to me when I continually have others go against and attack me. Then I can be unfair to the good guys until I realize who I’m corresponding with. I thought it might be the same with you but now, I’m not so sure.
I am terminal ill and my time should already have come by the doctors diagnosis, but the Lord decides that will be. The time I do have left, I don’t desire to be put through what you are trying to put me through.

You might have been BORN a gentile, but once you CROSS OVER, you are a citizen of the New Jerusalem and no longer a Pagan/gentile! You are essentially a Hebrew! I LIVE by the words of Yeshua (His real name, and the name above ALL names, which means Salvation! Not the Pagan Hellenic Greek “translation” which was meant to be a slur”!!)
Yeshua was GOD WITH US, and yes, I follow Him in every way I can, including eating clean because He never changes!! What he said in Torah still stands for TODAY! The Brit Chadasha (New Testament) doesn’t change any single word of Torah! We are ALWAYS expected to eat clean for our own health!

I’m sorry but you got that wrong. “I” have never “crossed over” from being a Gentile to being a Hebrew, and will remain the Gentile Christian that I have been since the 1940’s, that Christ Jesus gave His life on that cross for. You may have gotten others to “cross over” but I stay where my Lord and my God put me. If you are actually a Messianic Jew then you are the one who “crossed over.”
Am I ever sorry for replying to you. Now I can see where some of the crazy ideas come from of those that are on the fence and don’t know which way they should go, but they are young and not that familiar with even the New Testament, much less the Old.
I wonder who (God or Satan) would be behind trying to shake the faith of a person that has little time left to live? Would God spend a lifetime of teaching me, healing me of cancer, detached retina, osteoarthritis (just to mention a few), have touched me (or an angel) literally, and then want me to walk away from all that because someone like you says differently?
Yours is a different gospel and not the Gospel of the Holy God.
The Lord told we Christians to never take the word of man/woman above the Word of God and yet here you are trying to rob an old lady like me from salvation. Sorry but my home awaits me in heaven. I haven’t been on that wide path since I was under 12 years old. I have been an obedient daughter to the Lord God. I have spoken in tongues (it is my prayer language), I have laid hands on the sick, I have bound and cast out demons, I have obeyed the Great Commission and I have evangelized – as the Holy Ghost told me to do. I surrendered my life to Him (not to some church or religion) and offered myself as His servant and/or vessel. He has never failed me even when my first husband was killed during Vietnam. It was only by God’s grace that I was able to work, support and raise our children. Even though my baby is now 55, all of my children have always been and still are good strong Christians. No way would I give up my life with the Lord for the pit that you may take others to.
I rebuke you or any word that makes the Word of God out to be lies…

I have CROSSED OVER from “spiritual death to spiritual life”. If I hadn’t then I couldn’t have been born again. I cast off the old man and became a new creature in Christ as Jesus taught.
Where did Jesus teach I was to go from Gentile to Jew? Book, chapter and verses?
Are you saying that if I don’t do as you do and say, then I am no Christian? The Egypt remark.
You openly insult me every time you go against every Scripture I give you or write out. Does that not disregard Scripture? You have been trying to get me to put the Torah above what Jesus said and taught in the New Testament. Why is it that a junior that has not been born again considers herself better to teach anyone. than the Word of God does and that I believe in and live by?
What I avoid is you wanting me to live as a Jew. Jesus accepted the Gentiles who came to Him in repentance. I never once read where He said He would only accept if I/we lived and believed as a Jew.
I live by the New Testament, the Word of the Son of God, who is God. John 1:1 and 14.
What I avoid like a plague is being told that my only hope is if I live by the Torah. When and where did Jesus teach that to any followers…

Deuteronomy 14:9-10 (KJV) says: “These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat. 10, And whatsoever hath not fins and scales YE may not eat: it is unclean unto YOU.”
Mark 7:18-20 (KJV) says: “And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him. 19, Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats? 20, And He said, That which cometh out of man, that defileth the man.”
Colossians 2:16 (KJV) says; “Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:”
Enough said? Or should the Jewish tradition that was taught by man be put above the Word of the Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotton Son of God? If you haven’t read the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), then how can you claim to be Messianic?

Right and when Paul was teaching the new believers in Messiah in Colossians, he was comforting them about not letting people condemn them for eating “Kosher”! He wasn’t telling them to continue eating like Pagans, They were new believers in the Messiah and he was telling them to not let others condemn them for eating like the Messian – and the Disciples ate. Yeshua didn’t teach “Jewish tradition,” nor did the Disciples, they taught TORAH! Collossians clearly shows that. Paul was speaking to NEW BELIEVERS IN MESSIAH, reassuring them to continue eating what Torah teaches – clean! Fish with scales and fins, NO shell fish or other types of fish.
This is what you have forgotten. When Yahweh gave Torah to Moshe, it was for all the Hebrews that fled Egypt and the STRANGERS who traveled with them. i.e. EVERYONE and all their generations! And another thing: God never changes, He is the same yesterday, today and forever. What He told Moshe, on His Feasts, Sabbaths and food, was FOREVER, not just for then.
Later, the Rabbis added to God’s Law, and Yeshua condemned them! God told them to not add or take away from His Word. Then Constantine, in the 3rd century did just that, and you got it all twisted like Constantine intended. You belong to a protestant church, another little sister of the Whore of Babylon in Rome. I would suggest that you truly start learning the Hebrew Roots of the faith that God gave Moshe. Cuz honey, you’re deeply confused, thanks to the pulpit.

So show me in the “New Testament” what is Pagan foods you are talking about?
If you are a Messianic Jew as you claim, that shouldn’t be too hard for you to do. So not out of your mouth, nor out of the Torah but out of the mouth of Jesus. Back up what you say with the written word of the New Testament of the Messianic Christian.
No preacher that I ever set in a service with ever taught such a thing. I would leave a church at the first word that went against His Word or against the Gospel. As the Lord said to me; “Never put the word of man (biblical), even a beloved pastor, above the Word of God.” I eat as Jesus said I could, I say the blessing over it, and oh, it was Jesus that taught Paul, not the other way around.

Has God spoken to you aloud? He spoke to me when I went through a miscarriage and was so broken hearted that I almost committed suicide. He spoke to me from heaven, aloud and it was as the loudest thunder. I ran to the window and looked up expecting I’d see Him but just sky and I looked down and no one on the street had heard anything. I returned to the bed and that was when I again heard His voice just feet from me but I saw nothing. He asked me the same thing three times: “Dorothy do you trust me?” and I answered “yes, my Lord.” Then He told me I would have my child but I must trust Him all the way through. That was what I did and had it not have been for His words to me I wouldn’t have believed it possible. I was told by DC’s top Jewish ob-gyn and two others afterwards, that there was no sign of a baby. In my 4rh month I was seen by another Jewish Dr but after I told him why I was so sure I was pregnant, he gave me a test. The day the results came in my remaining twin started kicking. I didn’t have any of my children at a military hospital for free but my husband paid for that Jewish Dr to do the deliveries. My child was his answer to seeing God at work and remained a friend until his death. Believe it or not it is the honest to gospel truth.
I had to edit this in order to tell you the above. I don’t care if you believe it or not. I’m not your judge – God is and will be.
I also guess you don’t think God keeps His word and doesn’t bless our food? Don’t know why I’ve taken this time to write any of this for you cannot be a believer in Jesus the Christ and disregard the God’s Word. I guess I just hoped you would see what you don’t have of the Lord God. As God came to us Gentiles because the Jews wouldn’t believe, it was to make them jealous. I guess that’s what I would like to do. Let you see what all you have missed out on all these years that you claim you are a Messianic Jew but ???

I would like to understand. But you probably don’t have any biblical Scripture to explain or you already would have done so. Do you not understand about the Holy Spirit and what His position is suppose to be in our lives? Bible says because we have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit we become the temple of God.
May I ask, do you walk in Jesus’ footsteps regarding His commandment and the great commission? Have you lived to bring other Jews to know and accept Jesus as their Savior and accept the Christians Bible? Aren’t you allowed to answer any my questions?

Exodus thru Deuteronomy. You pick the verses, the chapters aren’t that big. If you haven’t studied them, then you can’t answer. I’ve read what Elohim said to the Jewish people many times. If I were a Jew I would be doing as He said to ‘them.’ Yes, for all of the Hebrews generations.
God gave the New Testament to the Gentiles. If Elohim didn’t want the Gentiles to follow it then He would have made sure that it was never written down, put together and given to us as it was. As I’ve repeatedly said over and over, I follow the New Testament which was given to the Gentiles. I obey the commands of Jesus. I follow and do as Jesus told His disciples to do. I believe in the great commission and bringing others to repentance and salvation in the Lord Jesus. I’ve evangelized. I’ve stood against demons. I’ve laid hands on the sick. I pray for the sinners as well as the governments, the leaders, even the democrats and of course all that I know. I speak in tongues. Tongues is my prayer language for the sick and dying since I have been housebound and haven’t been able to go to them. I faithfully give my tithes and offerings as I have it to give. What more do you think I should be doing, if that isn’t obedience to what the Lord has said we should? I give thanks for everyday the Lord gives me and I turn every new day over to Him. I was put into a position where I could take no medications to slow my disease down, and unable to go on oxygen although I’ve had emphysema now for 18 years and in the final stages. The Lord has been my protector as well as my breath. LMLK goes all of the credit, glory, and praise. I don’t think anyone should have a one tracked mind when it comes to the Lord but it is best we put others before ourselves.

Suggesting to burn a human being alive on a spit is not funny. ( I know it is a cartoon) but it is still suggesting torture. When you roast a hog it is always killed quickly, gutted and cleaned and scraped first. Now if the little turban guy was beheaded (proving humanely dispatched) Gutted and naked the same as a hog would be, then there would be no suggestion of torture.

As for fredom of religion, the part of our First Amendment that guarantees that was put in there out of respect for religion. The problem with that is that all religions are systems of belief that treat lies as truth, myths as reality and use imaginary rewards (an afterlife, heaven) and punishments (hell,eternal damnation) to terrorize, control, and enslave people while having the audacity to ask those people for money on a regular basis. Bottom line; religion deserves NO respect.
Since these rioters seem to really enjoy burning Bibles and our flag, why don’t they immigrate to countries where such is strongly approved of and proudly encouraged, Muslim countries where they will quickly learn that their rights to “protest” and riot are brutally denied.
