AIMS Metrology has introduced the Summit 10.10.10 CMM. It offers a 5-axis REVO-2 dynamic scanning probe and 1-m-cubed capacity for high-volume, large-part inspection in automotive, aerospace, and medical applications.
The stationary CMM can be automated with a robot load/unload system or pass-through process with a conveyor. It offers a workpiece weight of 2.4 tons while preserving floor space. Measuring speed is 500 mm/sec., and data collection rate is up to 4,000 points/sec. Infinite positioning and 5-axis motion allow access to difficult-to-reach features.
