Mazion's last bout at the San Antonio-based Alamodome on Jan. 11 dramatically illustrated the power of Mazion's left hook. It took the young fighter all of 58 seconds to vanquish opponent Fernando Castañeda, the 31-year-old Mexican boxer, with a vicious body punch in maintaining his undefeated record. Mazion earned the WBC-NABF super-welterweight title in the process.

Mazion had debuted professionally in similarly decisive style on April 27, 2013, when he scored a first-round technical knockout (TKO) over Ricky Young at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin.
