Thirteen years after leaving Guernsey to live in Hong Kong, Melanie Ison, Managing Director of PraxisIFM Nerine (Hong Kong), is returning to Guernsey to take up the position of Director at PraxisIFM Trust.
Melanie joined Nerine in March 2009 as a Director in its Hong Kong office and was promoted to Managing Director in 2015.
She began her fiduciary career in Guernsey in 1998 as a Relationship Manager for RMB International (CI), moving to HSBC Trustee (Hong Kong) in 2007.
More recently, she has been responsible for overseeing PraxisIFM Nerine’s growth in Asia, focusing on estate and succession planning and family governance matters.
Replacing Melanie as Managing Director in Hong Kong is Joanna Caen, previously Partner and Head of Private Wealth - China for Herbert Smith Freehills.
Joanna has 12 years’ experience helping individuals and families with personal, asset holding and philanthropic structuring and resolving private wealth disputes across Asia and Australasia.
She is also the current Vice Chair of the Society of Trust and Estate Planning in Hong Kong.
