Hi. There seems to be some contradictory information out there about the changes to UC advance repayments. Some sources state repayment period for advances increases from12 to 16 months from Oct 21 but others say 24 and that the recovery rate reduces from 30% to 20% but others state 25%.

Can anyone clarify?

Thanks

I know that the increase to 16 months in Oct 21 was in the 2018 Budget

And they changed that to 24 months in Budget 2020 - https://www.rightsnet.org.uk/welfare-rights/news/item/maximum-rate-for-deductions-from-universal-credit-to-be-reduced-to-25-per-cent-from-october-2021.

Announcement of max recovery going down to 25% also made then then with effect from Oct 2021 - I’ve not seen mention of 20%?
