Reddit went down. Here’s what we know about the outage

Reddit went down Wednesday afternoon, with many users reporting errors with the social media site. Despite briefly going back online, Reddit was still experiencing major errors at 3:30 p.m. PT.

The outage began around 2 p.m. PT, according to Down Detector. At least 27,000 users reported issues with the site on Down Detector, including on the desktop site and the Reddit app. The site appeared to be back online and working normally by 2:40 p.m. PT, but went offline again about 30 minutes later.

Users trying to access the site received the error message: “504 Gateway Timeout: The gateway has timed out.”

According to Reddit’s status page, it began investigating errors on the site at 2:18 p.m. PT.

“We’re experiencing an elevated level of errors and are currently looking into the issue,” Reddit wrote.

On Twitter, Redditors lamented that their favorite site was down, tweeting jokes they had planned for Reddit comment threads.

The race to make the best superhero game isn't slowing down as we await the first upcoming video game from Skydance New Media, Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra. This is one of two games to feature Black Panther, but this game, as the name spells out, is set in the past, during World War II. That, of course, can only mean Captain America will be the other major hero to show up. This is a very unique pairing we haven't seen in games before. Given the pedigree of Marvel and the talent at Skydance New Media, most notably Amy Hennig of Uncharted fame, there are some major expectations for this superhero romp right up there with the likes of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet and Perfect Dark. We won't waste time trying to cut off the Hydra's head and go straight to the heart of the matter with all the details we know so far.
Release window

The current release window for Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is 2025. The last news we got related to the release was that the game would be published by Plaion. This news didn't come with any specific updates but does indicate that the game is progressing smoothly and likely still on target for a 2025 release.
