Actor Wolé Parks Joins "Superman & Lois" Cast as the Stranger

Actor Wolé Parks has joined the cast of the upcoming CW television series, "Superman & Lois" in the role of The Stranger.

Based on the classic DC Comics character The Phantom Stranger, Deadline reports that this version of the character will be portrayed as "a mysterious visitor hellbent on proving to the world that it no longer needs Superman."

Parks is best known for his recurring roles on such television series as "Devious Maids," "The Vampire Diaries," and "All American" and starred opposite Joseph Gordon Levitt in the 2012 hit movie, "Premium Rush".

Starring alongside Parks on "Superman & Lois" will be Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent/Superman, Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane, Emmanuelle Chriqui as Lana Lang, Dylan Walsh as General Lane, and Jordan Elsass & Alex Garfin as the Kent's children, Jonathan & Jordan.

The series will feature the world's most famous superhero and comic books' most famous journalist as they deal with all the stress, pressures, and complexities that come with being working parents in today's society.

Former "The Flash" showrunner Todd Helbing has penned the script for the pilot episode and will executive produce the series alongside Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter through their production company Berlanti Productions. Geoff Johns will also executive produce.
