TULSA, Okla. — A gofundme account has been set up for the driver of a truck that plunged from the parking garage of Saint Francis Hospital on April 28.

Emergency crews responded to the scene on Tuesday evening near 61st and Yale.

Officials say the truck came crashing down from the top floor of the garage and landed on its hood.

The driver, 24-year-old Austin Smith, was found alive and taken to the hospital, officials said.

Smith suffered multiple broken bones and was taken to surgery following the crash, where doctor's removed his spleen due to blood loss, according to a gofundme page created by Smith's sister.

"Austin is a paraplegic from a previous car accident in 2014. He had a long recovery, medically and mentally, as you can imagine going from an able bodied 18 year old boy to a paralyzed man overnight," says the gofundme page.

Smith's gofundme page currently has reached $3,907 of the $5,000 goal.

Smith's sister continues, "My brother is a fighter! He has shown us this once before. I have NO DOUBT he will show us the good fight once again! Love You Bub, -your bossy sister, Lyndsey."
