I thought it said Harry Reid for a second.
I grew up listening to him, no one could hit the low notes like him. He always seemed a true gentleman. RIP, you gave us lots of great times.
RIP in the arms of Sweet Jesus. Statler Brothers are a true musical blessing.
now i have to listen to one of his songs or i’ll feel like a heel
I saw them live opening up for Johnny Cash back in the late 60's. This was their hit at the time.
RIP.
I enjoyed the Statler Brothers.
I remember when the Blackwood Brothers came to my small church in Knoxville.
It was great.
Whatever happened to Randolph Scott?
The Class of ‘57.
The man could sing you a story.
For a guy who likes hard rock, I appreciated it very much.
It’s a nice, mellow song with a good rhythm to it and good singing...and VERY deep voice on one of them so I assume that is this gentleman
I thought Randolph Scott was an actor.
All I have to say is oompapa oompapa Mao Mao!
That’s too bad, I loved those guys!
Means more every year.
He’ll be missed.

Harold had two pair who could make the ground shake under your feet. He lived between Stuarts Draft and Steeles Tavern in VA. I remember about ten years ago, I was making my annual holdiay pilgrimage home, and pulled into a liquor store in Staunton, because it was late and the region got hit by a massive snowstorm that closed I-81 at one point. 24” of the white stuff, and the freeway was clogged for two days because a semi jack-knifed and caused a massive pileup that made the national news. Harold was a deacon at his local church there, IIRC. Man, he could rattle the floorboards.

RIP Harold you will be missed!
They came to my church many years ago. I was sitting in the lobby when James came out, sat down and we talked for a while. It was a thrill since I had grown up listening to them. He was super nice. The Statlers are a favorite group. He will be missed.
