According to Fluxys, during 1Q20, a record 72 ship operations took place at the Zeebrugge terminal.
Both February and March broke their record number of ships per month:
- 15 ships in January
- 27 in February
- 30 in March
Most of the ship operations, 55 out of 72, were part of a transshipment operation. During a transshipment of this kind, LNG from the Yamal LNG production facility is transferred from ice-breaking LNG carriers to conventional LNG vessels.
A record number of almost 1000 LNG truck loading operations also took place in 1Q20.
