Showrunner teases Lucifer & Constantine spinoff series

Okay, stick with me here as I don't know much about The CW's currently running Arrowverse’s CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS. That said, it seems that in a recent episode, Matt Ryan's CONSTANTINE teamed with Tom Ellis' LUCIFER.

The crossover chronologically took place before the LUCIFER pilot and saw Constantine travel to Earth-666 (get it?) which is obviously the home of Ellis' Lucifer, to recruit the Prince of Darkness' help saving the soul of Oliver Queen. Or something like that. Again, I'm not sure.

Anyhow, LUCIFER co-showrunner Joe Henderson says:

I have theories [about Lucifer and Constantine’s past relationship] and we should explore it in the spin-off.

But then he shared a laugh with co-showrunner Ildy Modrovich, seemingly saying that there isn’t actually a spin-off in the works. Weak.

Henderson adds:

[The crossover] was a tricky thing to do, but it’s just awesome. When Tom and Matt Ryan got together, like they were outside their stage and they’re both like talking about the characters and what they could do, and I’m just like, ‘My mind is blowing cause Lucifer and Constantine are brainstorming a scene together and having the time of their lives.’ It was just delightful.

How bad do YOU want to see a CONSTANTINE & LUCIFER spin-off series with Matt Ryan and Tom Ellis? Let us know below! In the meantime, remember that the final season of LUCIFER is in the middle of shooting and will be split into two parts. Part One is expected to hit Netflix in 2020.
