Target Black Friday 2019: Best New Phone & Tech Deals

Following
This article is more than 4 years old.

The manic holiday shopping season is a couple of weeks away and, in typical fashion, the big retailers have given us an early look at what deals will be available.

If you’re looking to pick up some Black Friday tech then keep an eye on my buying guides over the next couple of weeks as I round-up the best deals and explain what is - or isn’t - good value.

Target is reprising it’s now regular “free” gift card deal with certain phone purchases. It doesn’t have any straight discounts for unlocked phones like Best Buy, but it does have some good tech deals that can make use of that gift card.

Don't forget to check out my breakdown of the best phone deals at Best Buy.

These deals will go live on the 29th November and last until December 1st, so bookmark this page.

Phones

The iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 come with a $200 gift card alongside a contract with verizon or or AT&T. Beware, this likely means tying yourself to a lengthy contract deal. There’s also up to $500 off if you trade in select Apple devices.

Google’s Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL come with a slightly bigger $300 gift card. But there’s an even bigger gift card deal on Samsung’s latest flagship line. The Note 10+, S10 and S10+ come with a $400 gift card, whilst the S10e comes with a $200 gift card. All come with a contract plan.

Outside of the big three devices from Apple, Samsung and Google - there aren’t any deals on other Android phones from LG or Sony. That may change on Cyber Monday, though.

What to spend that gift card on

If you do decide to pick up one of those gift card deals, here are the best tech Black Friday discounts to spend it on at Target.

There’s $80 off the 7th gen 10.2 inch iPad and there’s $30 off the Series 3 Apple Watch. Airpods have $30 off and Sony’s WHCH700N/B over-ear headphones get a huge $110 off. Keep an eye on the headphones page because Beats, JBL and Skullcandy all have varying discounts.

There are bigger discounts on Samsung and Android Wear smartwatches, with $80 off Galaxy 42mm smartwatch and a big $110 off the Fossil Sport smartwatch. The Fitbit Versa 2 and FitBit Inspire HR are $50 and $30 off respectively.

Last year’s Nest Hub and Google Home also have $50 off each. I suspect the recently released Nest Hub Max might get a discount too, so stay tuned. Amazon’s rival smart home tech has between $22 and $40 off for the Echo 3, Echo Show 5 and Echo Dot 3. Sticking with Amazon there’s $60 off the Ring Door Bell 2 and a two pack of Ring indoor cameras come with a $20 gift card
