In 2019 Josh Papalii was simply unstoppable.

The Raiders prop was arguably the best forward in the NRL in 2019. Papalii only missed one game this season due to his involvement in this year's State of Origin with the Queensland Maroons.

Papalii scored his first try of the season against the Parramatta Eels as the Raiders held their opponents scoreless to win 19-0.

Papalii backed up that performance the week after as he registered 40 tackles against the Brisbane Broncos at GIO Stadium.

In Round 18 against the Wests Tigers at GIO Stadium, Papalii clocked up over 202 running metres with 82 post-contact.

Papalii produced two moments that will long be remembered by Raiders fans.

The first came in the green machine's Round 22 clash at AAMI Park against the Melbourne Storm as he crashed over under the posts inside the final four minutes to give the Raiders the win.

The second came in the green machine's Preliminary Final against the South Sydney Rabbitohs. Despite the Raiders leading 10-6 with seven minutes to go, Papalii secured the Raiders spot in the Grand Final as he brushed aside Liam Knight and Damien Cook to score under the posts to send GIO Stadium into sheer delirium.

At the end of the 2019 season, Papalii deservedly took out the 2019 Meninga Medal which was his third in his career.
