It may be for a role, but Alyssa Milano may want to consider keeping her new look in everyday life. The actor and activist took to Instagram on Monday to share a monochromatic look that included stunning purple hair — a major departure from her usual brunette look.

"Meet Sarah, the tow truck driver," Milano wrote, not sharing any details about the look itself. She's referring to her part in the upcoming Quibi miniseries, The Now, and Sarah, the tow truck driver, clearly has great taste in beauty looks. Milano is seen in the selfie with long, deeply parted hair; her loose waves are a deep yet vibrant shade of purple that allows hints of her natural dark brown color to show through and add dimension. It's not unlike the "chocolate lilac" hair color that's been trending recently.

Milano's hair isn't the only purple aspect of her look. In fact, nearly everything about her clothing and makeup is purple, too. She's wearing purple nail polish, purple eye shadow, and a lacy purple camisole, making a strong argument for going matchy-matchy.

Her Instagram followers are definitely on board with the purple look. "GORGEOUS!!!!💜💜💜," one commenter exclaimed. Another wrote, "This is killer hair!!" while another had to gather themselves, writing, "Whaaaaat the whaaaat?!?😱😍 I’m shook! You are gorgeous.😍😍." Numerous people, including David Arquette, simply commented with fire emojis, and we can't blame them.

Purple hair has been thriving all year, both in wig and dye form. Kylie Jenner wore a purple wig to the Met Gala, while Maisie Williams committed to the color before the Game of Thrones season premiere event. But plenty of non-famous folks have been trying the look, with products like Overtone's Best of Beauty Award-winning Purple for Brown Hair conditioning treatments. So if Milano is any indication, purple hair isn't going anywhere in 2020.
