Inter could make a move for Matteo Darmian in the January transfer window to help bolster the defensive department according to a report in today’s paper edition of Tuttosport.

The Nerazzurri drew strong links to the Italian over the Summer before he joined fellow Serie A club Parma from Premier League club Manchester United.

Whilst Tuttosport suggest Inter could make a move, some reports recently have already suggested that there is a deal in place between the clubs for the 29-year-old, who is capable of playing across the entire back-line.

The report from the Turin newspaper also goes on to state that Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio is keeping a close eye on Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa and Brescia’s Sandro Tonali with a view to making Summer transfer window moves for him.

Inter face competition from arch-rivals Juventus for both Chiesa and Tonali, who are widely regarded as two of the best Italian prospects at the moment.
