Tonight’s match for Inter in the Champions League group stage against Borussia Dortmund represents a possible turning point for Antonio Conte’s Inter according to a report in today’s paper edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

“The step to be taken today is the first real match Inter are faced with where it’s either in or out. It will be a match where Inter will have to manage the tension and evaluate the different moments of the match, you will be able to understand if the Nerazzurri team has really taken a leap forward compared to last season,” the report explains.

“A year ago in the Champions League Inter only won two games, one of which against Tottenham Hotspur, which is perhaps the most explanatory modern manifesto of Pazza Inter. Inter need a turnaround. Conte too needs to remove the tag that he is much better domestically than in Europe.”

The report also states that Inter president Steven Zhang will be in attendance tonight having returned from his business in his native China.
