Landon Jones, Ben Isler, Glacier Peak boys tennis
Jones and Isler, both seniors, beat Shorewood’s Ari Webb and Erik Ertsgaard 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1 doubles to help the Grizzlies clinch a 4-3 win over the Thunderbirds in a non-conference match at Shorewood.
Elisha Baxter, Snohomish girls cross country
Baxter, a junior, won the individual title at the Dirty Face Cup, posting a time of 19 minutes on the 5,000-meter course at Valley View Middle School. Baxter’s performance helped the Panthers clinch the team title as well.
Alex Jensen, Lakewood boys cross country
Jensen, a senior, won the individual title at a Northwest 2A meet against Bellingham, Anacortes and Burlington-Edison, clocking a time of 16 minutes, 54.8 second on a 5,000-meter course at Lakewood High School. Jensen helped the Cougars clinch the team title as well.
