High speed chase and manhunt ends

BOSSIER CITY, La. -  A 17-year-old is in police custody after leading Louisiana State Police in a high speed chase through North West Louisiana.

Trooper Brent Hardy with LSP Troop G tells KTBS the chase started when the teen did not pull over for a traffic violation.

After a short chase troopers were able to spike the tires of the car.

Hardy says the teenager then escaped into a wooded area.

After searching for several hours troopers were able to find the teen. 

Hardy says the teen faces numerous charges including theft of a motor vehicle, aggravated flight, resisting arrest, no drivers license, speeding, left of center and wrong way on a one way.
