Lance Kendricks suspended one game for violating substance abuse policy

Lance Kendricks has been suspended one game for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy, it was announced on Saturday. 

The Patriots tight end will be able to stay with the team for the remainder of the preseason, according to the suspension. 

Patriots TE Lance Kendricks has been suspended without pay for the first game of the 2019 regular season for violating the NFL’s policy and program on substances of abuse.

He will be eligible to return after the Patriots’ season-opener against the Steelers on September 9.
