• Spending in the half-year totalled £111m, 12% above the same stage of last year

Rolling 12 months
• Visitor spend at June 2019 was £280.6m, 15% up on the previous year
• Visits of 757,000 and visitor nights at 2.79 million, represent increases of 10% and 4% respectively

Senator Lyndon Farnham, Jersey's Minister for Economic Development, Tourism, Sport and Culture, commented: “I am pleased to see a continuing increase in the number of visitors coming to Jersey.

"This growth in the first half was mainly driven by people visiting from the UK and Germany, both of which are up 15% on the same period last year. We have also seen growth from a number of UK air routes, including London Southend, Gatwick and Aberdeen.

"However, some markets, such as France, are behind where they were at this point last year.”
