Papua New Guiena Prime Minister Marape has announced that as a recognition and commemoration of Sir Julius birthday the National legal tender K100 Bill note will carry the face or portrait of Sir Julius. The Prime Minister attended former Prime Minister and New Ireland Governor Sir Julius Chan's 80th birthday tonight at the National Parliament State function room. He said he has held discussions with he Governor of the Central Bank and advised that the next issue of K100 notes will carry Sir Julius face. Prime Minister Marape said that is also to say thank you to Sir J for being the first Finance Minister and for work he did in creating the Central Bank and having PNGs own currency kind and toea introduced at Independence. Prime Minister Marape graced Sir Julius Chan's 80th birthday along with three former Prime Ministers Pais Wingti, Sir Mekere Morauta and Sir Rabbie Namaliu and the Governor General Sir Bob Dadae.
