3DGence expands INDUSTRY F340 capabilities with Fillamentum Flexfill 98A

Polish 3D printer manufacturer 3DGence has expanded the material capabilities of its INDUSTRY F340 machine with Flexfill 98A from Fillamentum. This is the first flexible filament that works with the dual nozzle industrial system.

“Our customers increasingly use flexible materials in their work, that is why we constantly meet their needs. Flexfill 98A is characterized by increased high abrasion resistance and tensile strength,” comments Mikołaj Skorupa, 3D Printing Application Engineer, 3DGence.

“Therefore, the material is suitable for printing dynamically loaded parts, e.g. seals or parts that require frequent bending. Printouts made with Flexfill 98A could be supported with the ESM-10 soluble material, which can be washed out. This enables us to obtain even the most complex geometries.”

3D printing high performance FFF materials

Engineering materials such as ABS, TPU, PC, and PEEK can be challenging to 3D print on a standard FFF/FDM due to high melting points. The INDUSTRY F340 has been designed to process such materials through its flow control system as well as its High Flow (HF) printing modulesAs a result, users can upgrade their system with new materials, without having to buy a new 3D printer. Mateusz Sidorowicz, Marketing Director at 3DGence, adds, “There are not so many industrial 3D printers capable of printing simultaneously with engineering materials such as ABS, fiber-reinforced polyamides or PC and now also with TPU.”

“3DGence INDUSTRY F340 is an exception on the market due to its versatility.  Thanks to the use of a direct system, this 3D printer can handle both stiff and flexible materials. Cooperation with Fillamentum enabled 3DGence to expand its offer with Flexfill 98A. – material Shore 98A hardness.”

The INDUSTRY F340

The INDUSTRY F340 is capable of printing at temperatures between 190°C and 500°C. The system’s multiple modules covers the broad range of 3D printable thermoplastics from standard PLA to robust PEEK filament. In December 2018, 3DGence released the Engineering Soluble Material (ESM-10), a soluble support material for PEEK and ABS. ESM-10 can be used to support Flexfill 98A to obtain even the most complex geometries

Prior to the release of Flexfill, 3DGence also released PA-CF and PA-GF (Glass-Filled Polyamide). Upon the material releases, Dominik Fitowski, Export Manager at 3DGence, commented, “There are a lot of 3D printers on the market today, which are compatible with a very narrow range of materials, it is associated with the need to have several different devices.”

“3DGence INDUSTRY F340 is the exception in the industrial 3D printers segment. It has been equipped with a modular system, which is a more practical and more cost-effective solution.”
