Suning’s owner Zhang Jindong attended a preseason friendly between two Premier League sides in Nanjing on Wednesday.
Wolverhampton Wanderers beat Newcastle 4-0 at the Olympic Sports Centre stadium, with Zhang joining the former’s president Guo Guanchang in the VIP seats.
Inter will play Juventus in the same ground on 24 July as Antonio Conte’s side ramp up preparation for the new campaign.
Wolves were recently linked with a move for Joao Mario, but it seems they have not followed up their initial approach.
