When it launched in 2014, Olaplex completely changed the hair game. Now, those who want to go bright blonde in one sitting can do so with less breakage thanks to this unique bonding treatment. Since then, Olaplex has expanded its hair-care system with six other salon and home treatments to help protect strands from bleach, heat, and other hair stressors. Today the company announces its seventh product and first oil: Olaplex No.7 Bonding Oil. To say we're stoked about it would be an understatement.

Olaplex is calling this a "weightless reparative styling oil" to repair, strengthen, and hydrate all hair types, while providing heat protection up to 450°F. It also promises to increase shine, softness, and even color vibrancy. "Everything about this ultra-light oil is fabulous, from the way it delivers high-quality results to the super sleek packaging," says colorist and Olaplex Ambassador Chad Kenyon. "I cannot wait for everyone to witness it for themselves."

So, how does No.7 fit in with your current Olaplex routine? Let me break it down because the numbers can be a little confusing. Your hairstylist will use No.1 Bond Multiplier at the salon right your color — especially mixed in with bleach — to help prevent chemical damage. Then, your stylist will use No.2 Bond Perfector as a mask after removing your color. At home, you can use No.3 Hair Perfector as a mask in the shower once or twice a week to continue strengthening your hair and adding smoothness. (Just make sure to follow the directions on the bottle.)

For washing your hair, there's No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo and No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner to hydrate and reduce frizz. I like to rotate between that and the Best of Beauty-winning Virtue Recovery Shampoo and Conditioner. Next, No.6 Bond Smoother is the newest leave-in styling treatment that can continue to help you fight frizz. And now we're up to seven — the brand-new oil. I will probably use No.7 Bonding Oil as a pre-hot tools protector and smoother when my strands are looking more than parched.

When can you try it yourself? Olaplex No.7 Bonding Oil will retail for $28 on Olaplex.com on July 23.
