Raiders jerseys to be auctioned off to Support the Ricky Stuart foundation

Canberra Raiders fans can own a piece of Raiders history, with the playing jerseys from Saturday nights match against the Wests Tigers to be auctioned off to raise money for the Ricky Stuart Foundation.

The match worn jerseys which will be auctioned via www.allbids.com.au will carry extra significance, as they will each have special embroidery to pay tribute to the 1989 Grand Final team. With each member of the 1989 Grand Final Team and Coach Tim Sheens to feature on each of these jerseys.

For example, Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad has been named at fullback this weekend, so he will have Gary Belcher’s name and Raider number on his jersey. Jarrod Croker has been named in his usual number three jersey, so he will have Mal Meninga’s name and Raider number on his jersey.

In total, 20 jerseys will be uploaded, which includes the 17 jerseys worn in the game as well as the 18th man and two additional jerseys. (Full details available on www.allbids.com.au)

It’s all part of a huge weekend for the club, as we celebrate the first raiders Premiership in 1989. The money from the jersey auction and other online auctions via allbids will go to the Ricky Stuart Foundation.
