Papua New Guinea's Police Minister Bryan Kramer has sacked the Police Commissioner Gary Baki. A police release today said the minister had written to Mr Baki directing him to stop work as Commissioner as of today. Mr Kramer was appointed as minister last month, promising changes in the troubled PNG police force. The pair had a public war of words last year after Mr Kramer criticised Mr Baki for closing a fraud case file against former prime minister Peter O'Neill.
