Men's basketball and football once again intersected, and Journal & Courier Purdue men's basketball insiders Nathan Baird and Mike Carmin delved into both on the latest edition of BoilersXTRA.

The guys opened the show breaking down Carsen Edwards' NBA Draft result from Thursday night and why ending up in Boston could be a positive beginning for the former Purdue guard. Topics include why Edwards' mindset can help him in the NBA (5:00), Purdue's NBA Draft reputation (9:30) and Edwards' potential role in the NBA and how it may differ from his role with the Boilermakers (11:30).

Then Nathan and Mike switch over to football and another productive June for Purdue recruiting (25:30). Topics include why June is such a productive commitment month for the Boilermakers and other programs (27:00), thoughts on two recruits from the northeast and the dynamics of quarterback recruiting (32:30) and how offensive line recruiting remains the one area where the Brohm tenure has not demonstrably advanced past its predecessor (39:45).
