Three local prep basketball players are set to compete in the 23rd annual Washington/North Idaho all-state girls basketball games Saturday at the HUB Sports Center in the Spokane suburb of Liberty Lake.
Lynnwood rising senior Amayah Kirkman, Arlington rising senior Sierra Scheppele and Shorecrest rising senior Amanda Lee are each rostered on the West team for the Class 3A/2A game.
The 3A/2A contest, scheduled for 5:30 p.m., is one of the event’s three East vs. West all-star games. The B game is at 1:30 p.m. and the 1A game is at 3:30 p.m.
Kirkman, a first-team Herald All-Area selection, averaged 19.1 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 3.5 steals per game this season for Lynnwood.
Scheppele averaged 11 points and three rebounds per contest, helping lead Arlington to the 3A Hardwood Classic.
Lee averaged 13.2 points, 3.3 assists and 3.1 steals per game for Shorecrest.
