CNN’s Jim Acosta Holds First Book Signing, But No One Showed Up

Calvin Custis, The Federalist Papers, June 13, 2019:

Story continues below advertisement

CNN’s Jim Acosta just can’t get enough of Jim Acosta. The famously self-obsessed White House correspondent has a new book out, and you can bet he was ready to see those long lines of adoring fans ready to meet him at his first book signing.

But when the big day finally came, no one showed up.

From BPR:

In a tone-deaf Twitter post, Acosta gleefully tweeted photos of himself at a book signing in Arlington, Virginia.

The title of Acosta’s book — “The Enemy of the People — was stolen directly from Trump himself, when he slammed the fake news media as the “enemy of the people” for spreading lies and disinformation meant to gaslight them.

To be clear, President Trump never called the media itself the “enemy of the people,” but the fake-news shills who intentionally promote false narratives.

What’s hilarious is that Acosta was autographing a huge pile of his books in what appeared to be an empty book store. Notably, there were no fans clamoring around him, eager to meet him. …

Here’s Acosta’s original tweet:

And here’s the HILARIOUS reaction from Twitter, which was almost entirely negative:

If I were to buy his book, it would take it’s place next to the Koran I keep in my outhouse, for the final paperwork.

Indeed. Same too with the “new book” written by Howard Stern. The title of Stern’s book could best be “Abandon All Hope – Ye Who Read These Pages.”

“surprise book signing”?
yeah right. It was really a planned book signing. But since no one showed up, he spun it as a “surprise” book signing; so he has an excuse as to why no one showed up. (using his fake news skills once again).

Although I would agree with any assessment that claimed journalists like Acosta, Lemon, “Morning Joe,” and the like in the present day media have lost the right to call themselves “journalists,” as they no longer understand what the real news is, and instead are so opinionated that they present slanted and created news that is only to their satisfaction, I expect that the truth about this incident when presented will show many people actually purchasing his likely scandalous book. Though I recognize that everyone is entitled to their political opinion, and that whether or not you like Trump is a personal preference, the job of journalism is to report the news first, and if you are going to offer your opinion, be decent enough to announce it as your opinion, and always include those other opinions that are applicable from those whose opinions differ from yours. I tend to see more of that proper conduct on Fox news, than on any of the other stations. I use my remote to switch between media stations, and the result is almost always the same. CNN, MSNBC and the like spin everything that is consistent with their opinion, because they wrongfully believe that only their opinion is accurate, when it is nothing more than their biased views, and give little voice to those others, whose opinion differs from theirs. That happenstance has sickened my perspective to the presented news, though I am afraid their are many people out there that can not recognize that they are being hoodwinked by these players. Trump is not perfect, but he is in a battle that was created by the whiners out there, and I fully understand his need to refer to those whiners as “fake news.”

Great comment. I understand that Trump is not perfect and sometimes speaks off the cuff and without giving consideration for what might offend. But I believe he is honest and wants to truly accomplish things for the betterment of the American people. I also know that god has through out history used imperfect men to accomplish his ends. The election of Donald Trump may well be been such a case. A new chance for America.

It is called Karma. Acosta is a self-serving, self-anointed Fifth Columnist along with his employer CNN and the entire MSM. Once again, proving, Americans are more astute, savvier politically than these Liberal-Fascists ever dreamed.

Almost in the same low class as Trudeau. Self absorbed, arrogant, narrow minded, a legend in his own mind. An elite prick that actually thinks he is relevant.

They both have set the benchmark for sleaze. Trudeau and his dopey wife, forgot her name, are so feckin’ self-absorbed, self-righteous and devout Muslims. Acosta, he is, as said, like Trudeau in many ways.

His Muslima is Sophy or Sofy or Sofa or Sophie or something. She rarely travels with him on his carbon producing jetting around the world, pretending to be relevant. It is somewhat suspicious the a Muslima CAIR member and a Ministeress of something or another, M. Monsef, fairly often goes along. Hmmmmm.

LOL! I sort of recall, now. Sofia, a genuine, 100% Muslima. G-d, the world’s axis is askew and Justin worries about photo-ops, selfies, and trying to remember the Qu’ran’s verses. He and she are the most obnoxious a-holes on the planet along with several others, Obama, Hillary etc.

Well, perhaps after this, Acosta can donate his books to the Goodwill for their bargain bins. Though, I wonder how many people will buy it for .25c. The rest of his books can be sent to Congress, so all the Democrats have some quality toilet paper. ‘Good luck, Jim. Maybe you can apply for a job cleaning toilets, a job more suited to your ilk, in the Trump admin.’

All the public wants is factual news stories that are written with some degree of perspective from both the print and electronic media. But all we get is agenda-driven BS. Is it any wonder the public has seen enough?

I wouldn’t have a copy of Acosta’s volume of drivel if it were given to me as a gracious gift.

Two of the current bestsellers on the market are “Unmasked” by Bozell and “Unfreedom of the Press” by Levin, both detailing the media and its extreme bias.
