Missouri State recruiting: Dana Ford reportedly in on Idaho State transfer Kelvin Jones

Kelvin Jones when he was a sophomore at UTEP. Now a graduate transfer from Idaho State, Jones is reportedly looking into joining Missouri State.

Dana Ford, apparently, is not done looking to add players for the 2019-20 season.

Stadium reporter Jeff Goodman tweeted Tuesday afternoon that Missouri State is among the options for Idaho State graduate transfer Kelvin Jones.

Goodman wrote the 6-foot-11 center told him that he was looking at Washington State, Oregon State, Virginia Tech, Florida, Wake Forest, Oklahoma State and Boise State in addition to Missouri State. He said he will visit schools in June.

MISSOURI STATE RECRUITING

Jones started 28 games at Idaho State a season ago. He averaged 9.9 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.

The 2018-19 season was his first and only at Idaho State. He transferred from Odessa College — where he was teammates with Keandre Cook and played in 18 games and shot 51.3%.

Before playing at Odessa, he played his freshman season at UTEP. He appeared in all 32 games and played an average of 12.7 minutes while averaging only 3.4 points per game.

If Missouri State were to add another player for the 2019-20 season, it would have to make another roster move.

Right now, the Bears appear to have 13 players taking up the maximum amount of scholarships allowed.
