VATICAN CITY – Pope Francis warned on Monday (May 27) against a rise of intolerance and racism as far-right nationalists and eurosceptic parties made historic gains in European elections.
“The signs of meanness we see around us heighten our fear of ‘the other’, the unknown, the marginalised, the foreigner,” he said in a message for the World Day of Migrants and Refugees.
“It is not just about them, but about all of us, and about the present and future of the human family.
“Migrants, especially those who are most vulnerable, help us to read the ‘signs of the times’,” he said.
Salvini’s far-right League party did particularly well in Italy in centres seen as migrant “hot spots”, including a town held up by the left as a model of tolerance and integration.
Pope Francis acknowledged the “fear” in many societies towards migrants and refugees arriving in search of protection or a better future.

When the Pope opens his “home,” the Vatican, to all and any immigrants to live and be given handouts, then maybe (but not for certain), we’ll at least consider his outrage. Obviously, he DOESN’T care about the suffering and death of Christians or he would focus this “outrage” towards the Muslims who are ruining Christian churches, and murdering Christians all across the world….

My paternal great grandmother, although our family had been here since the late 1600s, still carried a hatred for (her words), “The Idol Worshipping Church of Rome”. She was quite the RCC hater. She’d go on and one about bowing down to an idol of someone that her Lord and Savior Christ, simply called “that woman”. She’d school us on how one of our ancestors, that she called, “One of the Scottish Martyrs” was crucified by Roman Catholics … It’s a long history of hatred. How many generations was she removed from that, yet still was able to hate something that had never harmed her. We’d simply groan with “Gramma (actually great “gramma”) and …. she’s just that way.” NOW, I understand. She was right … Dead right.

True but forced conversions through the Inquisition wasn’t helpful. The pope should resign and endorse reformation Protestant Christianity. He’s lost his way with interfaith Islam. The Catholic church has too much theological error to be sustainable i.e. forbidding marriage for priests and nuns is unnatural causes problems. Communion is not the actual blood and flesh of Christ it’s a symbol… Peter is not the first pope. You can’t pray people out of purgatory… Can’t sell indulgences to sin…all the reasons Luther and others left.
Yet the opposite is happening – many Protestant preachers are endorsing the Pope’s call to end the division and unify (there is quite a list of big names that have pledged their allegiance, along with their congregations, to him).
“Sustainable”, the RCC/Vatican is the “harlot” riding the “scarlet beast” of Rev.17:3. It has a future to that point, but is then destroyed ; until then, it plays a significant role in the establishment of the end time conditions that aid the Antichrist and the 7yr tribulation period. But yes, you are quite right, it is full of theological error.
Even the most spiritually discerned can see there is a “falling away” from sound doctrine taking place. Even atheists see it. If I was to sum it up, I’d say “Don’t be conned”.Faith is not “belief without evidence” as Dawkins says, but is “placing your trust in what the evidence shows you”. Or, to quote C.S. Lewis, “faith means holding on to what your reason has once accepted, in spite of your changing moods!” So, don’t be duped into thinking that you don’t have to use your mind when it comes to the question of God. That’s the case whether you are an atheist who wants to avoid God, or a Christian who wants to grow in God, you’ve got to really use your mind. The heart and the soul cannot be separated from it. Don’t settle for people who just describe things as intellectually credible, or “morally superior” but actually go and test it yourself!

I have said for the last while now, that God doesn’t ask for blind faith, and after correlating the prophecies of Daniel with real world fulfillment, I am convinced He put that there for our edification – to be even more sure of His word and promises. It is quite literally “proof” of God.

Just watched/read that Peter Byrom interview. Very interesting stuff and maybe in another setting he might have gone into his “evidence” based on the scriptures. He implies his definition of faith as “placing your trust in what the evidence shows you”, and I could not agree more with that.
As it is in this setting, he points out the failures of the evolutionary theorists to adequately support their position, as evidence of the “alternative”, and while I would wholeheartedly agree that evolutionary “science” is anything but science, I would much rather see a position built on “positive” evidence and not so much on just “negative” evidence. A positive position has a much better defense against deception.
This is why I have often spoken of the prophecies of Daniel. The real world fulfillment of those highly detailed, time constraint restricted prophecies spanning over more than a thousand years, are proof of God, and I would defy any atheist to explain otherwise. To the ones I have so challenged, I have generally received no response, but one just flat out denied that Daniel ever made such prophetical utterances. To deny historical records because they are unliked is self imposed blindness and disingenuous.
And yet when you tune into their radio in television programs they sound quite fundamental, have always taken a better stand against abortion, but the sad fact is wherever they dominate say South and Central America they have significant problems and their people want to come here to the US. I always say that only reformation Protestant Christianity could have invented America. But most of them have become apostate like you say throwing in with the liberals, even those who aren’t are complicit because they don’t call them out and they don’t call out public education either that indoctrinates children in liberalism a mental disorder…
While trying to “sum it up” in just a short descriptor may be oversimplifying things, it does appear that the Christian community (who were the guardians of what was the very root of our foundations) did take to resting on the laurels of western civilization and neglected the tending of the gates.
The early days of America, just after the Revolutionary War, was something actually hated by the Vatican, and a plan to attack her was thwarted by the swift action of timely intel and the founding fathers (see George Canning and the Treaty of Verona) ; the Vatican compared the articles of liberty to Satanism. In 1864, Lincoln said, “The sinister influence of the Jesuits caused this civil war, we owe it to the Popery that our land is awash in the blood of our sons”.
It is a bit of a conundrum that Catholics are by far more proactive against the abomination of abortion then are their Protestant counterpart, yet often vote Liberal. I think though it is more because the “church” leadership of one preached more advocacy than the other, and priests inspired their congragants to become involved (many priests became involved too, where as pastors were less so).
Many believers are becoming more and more convinced that the last of the last days are upon us, of which I am one. The evidence of converging world events and end time prophecies is overwhelming. These are not just minor things, but are in fact significant in scope and are accelerating rapidly.
I look at the West, Europe and the UK in particular, and see the beginnings of judgement already starting. The trickle of evil that began decades ago, has now become a flood in what were once Christian lands. Just as darkness can only fill a room in the absence of light, evil cannot engulf nation after nation unless the light of God has been withdrawn. I believe His great and final judgement is no longer “coming”, it has already begun and our time, the age of man, is rapidly coming to an end.
Very interesting reply, I followed a few trains of thought and did some research treaty of Verona etc. Sad as it is to contemplate we seem to be in the winding down stage of the American experiment in self-government and moving toward the end of world history. Never before in history have we been able to watch it in real-time 24/7 on cable news and personal devices.. every civilization since the beginning of the world have risen & fallen like great trees in the forest, if there wasn’t somebody there to see it record it or uncover it, it remained a mystery. Howeverwe are duplicating those before us by becoming so corrupt we collapse from within. Francis became Pope as the result of a coup d’etat executed by the Jesuits who are committed to reversing the great progress of the Church led by St.John Paul II. It is the duty of every faithful Catholic to see that this coup is exposed and Francis removed and replaced. Miracles often happen behind the walls of the Vatican and I see one coming very soon.

The pope feels no need or desire to protect Catholics or even Christians in todays world but supports a global government and rule of the cult of Islam. To most of the faithful he has proven he has no integrity or credibility to advise. He is just politically correct noise in the wind, trying desperately to destroy the church.

No Pope, it’s not that we are racist. Quite the opposite. We just don’t align ourselves with cultures of people who are not followers of God just as God has told us to do.Race has nothing to do with it.
